Pumpkin Patch (with one kid)

So after Church on Sunday...Poppy, Corbin and Mama headed out to the Pumpkin Patch near Poppy's house. Chloe was sick and so Daddy stayed home. I will have to get Miss Chloe out to see all the pumpkins when she is feeling better! We had a great time! "I can to pick this BIG pumpkin up, Poppy!"

Corbin is picking out a perfect small pumpkin for his sister!

We took a hayride!

We saw smelly pigs!

It was a beautiful day to spend it outside! Happy Fall to everyone!

Corbin and Poppy

Corbin and Poppy are best buds! They talk almost everyday on the phone and usually don't go more than 10 or so days without seeing each other. If Poppy is in town they probably see each other two times a week. When I was pregnant with Corbin, Poppy use to talk to my tummy and say, "I will be your favorite person!" Sure enough... that is pretty much true. They have a really special bond that is hard to explain in words...I think they always will.

So now here is the problem! They are nothing but TROUBLE, TROUBLE, TROUBLE!!! The older Corbin gets the more trouble they get into! Even though they are a mess, I think it is fun that Corbin has someone in his life that he can snuggle, wrestle, have serious talks, tell secrets to and be nothing but silly with!

When I see this starting to happen...I know we are in trouble! :)Who knows what the boys is saying! By the reaction of the two of them....I am sure it is pretty entertaining! They both are really into the Wii right now! They really are the best of buds....all they need to have a good time is to be together!

Cowboys and Redskins

As many of you know David is a big Redskins fan....I know....I know...he just always has been a big fan! Well, Corbin loves Tony Romo and the Cowboys, but he wants to like his Dad's team as well. We told him he can like both! So we were going to some friends house to watch the game last Sunday and David told Corbin, "buddy you can wear your Cowboy's jersey and your Redskin's hat!" Corbin then said, "Who is going to win?" David told him probably the Cowboys....so Corbin decided not to wear any Redskin stuff. (Corbin usually sides with the winning team....in the Olympics he was cheering for China to win in gymnastics!) Well...turns out the Redskins pulled out the win. Corbin was fine and booed David all the way home...I think we officially have a house divided!

Here are the boys ready to watch the big game! They have their game face on in the bottom picture! Go Cowboys!!

PIGGY'S

Today we tried Piggy Tails for the first time! Miss Chloe Dawn still needs a little more hair...but I gave it a try! :) She said, "Don't Like It!!! Don't Like It!! Off...Off...Off!" But she let me take her picture.... and when she saw the picture she said, "Oh pretty!"

Western Hills Lodge

Last weekend we met up with David's family at Western Hills Lodge in Oklahoma. We had a great weekend visiting and catching up with all his family. David would go to Western Hills every year with his Grandparents when he was a boy. So it was fun for David to walk down memory lane.

The kids had a great time playing with cousins and great cousins. They are excited to plan a trip back. Here is Kaili (4) and Connor (2)....David's sisters kids. Kaili and Corbin play SO well together...they use their imagination and can play on their own ALL day...it is great. Corbin always misses Kaili for several days after they part.
Western Hills has a small Science/Nature Center on their campus with some animals...the kids loved it. This beaver... named "Chloe" was enjoying a snack. Here is Lance (David's cousin) holding a Speckled Kingsnake for Corbin to touch. Corbin said, "I was a little scared at first, but the worker told me he doesn't bite!" This little guy was a highlight. We got to visit with the possum twice while we were there. Her name was "Itsy Bitsy" and the Center has raised her since she was a baby. She was so sweet....EVEN Mama loved on her. Chloe kept calling her "Poss....Poss!"

Pony Rides were fun! The best part was watching David lead a "stubborn" pony. Just Kidding...David is always the Dad of the year...stepping in and isn't afraid of a little stubborn pony. :)This is David's cousin (Jennifer) the kids just adore her. Chloe saw this picture when we got home and kept pointing to it and saying, "Jenny, Jenny, Jenny!"Here is Corbin and Grandpa as we are packing up and getting ready to leave.
Before we left we had time for Lance to take Corbin on one of the nature trails. He thought Lance was pretty cool.Chloe, Jenny and I had time for some swinging. Below are a few pictures I couldn't leave out....what a great trip for some needed family time.

Daddy's Birthday!

So Corbin had a great idea to cook Daddy breakfast for his birthday this morning! But first he HAD to dress the part. We made Daddy a "Corbin creation"....scrambled egg waffle sandwich with syrup. Those of you who know David...KNOW...that he gobbled it up. Corbin was so cute and so excited to surprise his Dad. He worked very hard.

As you can see, Daddy was SO surprised. Check out Corbin's face in the above picture....he is so proud of his work. There are 5 candles because Corbin is "5" and David is "35". It was a yummy start to a Happy Birthday!

Chloe has been singing "Happy Birthday" all day! Happy Birthday to the BEST Daddy in the whole wide world!
