Dying Easter Eggs

We were at Holly Lake all of Easter! And we had to Dye Easter Eggs. Corbin had a great time....but good thing we were on the porch. Poppy couldn't figure out the tie dye egg and wasted all the coloring on one egg. He was good at the OLD fashion white crayon on the egg. Great Grandma and Great Grammy were on hand to watch and fuss over the pretty eggs.

The first picture of Chad was just us being silly and taking goofy pictures, but we didn't realize until we looked at it that he had horns growing out of his head. For some reason this really cracked us up!

Fun at the Ranch

This was Easter weekend! We went out to the Ranch for some fun! Corbin has been loving the Ranch now for years! He loves to ride on the 4 wheeler the best...but he knows how to work all the vehicles. (with Poppy's help)

Poppy said one day they were working at the Ranch and they were in the BIG tractor and Poppy step out a second to move a log or something and Corbin made the big bucket go all the up on his own! Corbin knows how to turn on all the tractors and what every button does. We make sure we know where the keys are at all times!

Chloe is now a Ranch Girl....she loves it out there. Well, she just loves being outside. I think she is going to be tougher than her Mama. She loves to get dirty, play with rocks, ride all the tractors and go fast. But her Mama keeps her in pink while she does it all! :)
This day we made a scavenger hunt for Corbin all around the Ranch. We made up clues and he had to go on the 4 wheeler with Poppy to find the treasure. He had a blast!

Ski Trip

We had such a blast at our ski trip to Deer Valley, Utah at the end of February! Mummy, Poppy, Bones, Dada, Mama, Corbin and Chloe went. It was Chloe's first plane ride and she did wonderful. We were lucky b/c Mummy and Poppy gave up their first class seats so we could have more room! I am sure everyone was nervous seeing a baby in first class...but several people came up after the flights and said she was so good!
Corbin loved seeing and most of all playing in that much snow for the first time. I would have to say the highlight was the sledding! He was so brave and flew down the mountain too many times to count. I have to say that sledding was fun for the adults too! We just went right out of our condo when the slopes closed and had a blast. Mummy and Poppy even loved sledding.

Corbin did great in ski school too....Poppy and Corbin had a private lesson for half a day. Our main goal was for him just to get used to it and have fun. That is what he did.....he never got upset he did great for his first time. A funny story.....we were all trying on our ski boots and getting our ski's and Corbin said his ski boots felt funny! I was like "oh don't worry, it takes a while to get used to ski boots....they are suppose to feel tight and a little funny to walk." So we totally blew by that and said don't worry about it, you have never had boots on before. Well the next morning we were getting all the gear on and Corbin would not let it go he said, "I really think something is wrong with this boot!" So finally David put half his arm down the boot and he found a toe warmer jammed in the boot. Corbin (as usual) was right....poor guy had a huge toe warmer in one boot. So then he took that old warmer and stuffed it in Mum's boot. He thought that was soo funny!
We did have some bumps on our trip...but looking back I only think of the good times. One night after dinner (we had left the kids with a babysitter) Chloe started to get sick. We were going to bed and Chloe started throwing up. She threw up 10 times or so in one hour. She wasn't crying tears and we couldn't get liquids down her and she would not stop throwing up! SOOOO Dada and I had to take her by ambulance to the ER! She was poked to get blood and had an unsuccessful long poke to try for an IV! Finally, the pediatric specialist came in and got the IV
in for some fluids. She had a bad stomach virus and was dehydrated. I don't know who cried more Mama or Chloe...it was pretty traumatic. We were up all night, but Dada still got some skiing in that day! The picture of Chloe in the pink hat was the night she got sick! I love that picture, but had no idea what was coming!

On the way home we were flying through tornado warnings so it was really bumpy and we had to circle the airport. Luckily Chloe fell asleep but Mama, you guessed it was not feeling well now! We finally landed and I was holding it together....but then Poppy carried off Corbin from the plane, and yes...Corbin had gotten sick 2 or 3 times on the plane! Getting home was a mess....I bet our driver was ready to get rid of us! I got sick as I entered the house. Bones was such a help all trip as well. Poppy was up all night with Corbin so David could stay with me! WOW....that was probably fun to read. (the first pic is us recovering)
But I promise it was a great trip and I only think of the best time we had!

Ski Clothes

The first family ski trip was close approaching and the kids needed ski clothes. Corbin had a blast shopping for ski clothes....he loved the red, and the spider clothes. A couple of days before we went to try on ski clothes I had try to get Chloe's 1 year old picture taken. It did not go very well...she DID NOT want to smile at the lady. She wouldn't even give a pleasant look....just a "I am not happy, and I do not like you picture lady!" She has that Maulsby Girl thing in her. I was so sad b/c I had the pretty dress on her and ready to go, but it was a BIG NO from baby girl. Mum always says, "What baby girl wants, baby girl gets!" Well...think again sister....Mama and baby girl are going to go around and around, but I gave this one to her. :) No cute one year old picture!

Anyway we took this ski picture of her and joked that it could be her 1 year old picture! What do you think?

Chloe's Best Friend

Here is a picture of Emma and Chloe! Emmy is 4 1/2 months older than Chloe. They get so excited to see each other! Emma has an older brother Alex who is 6 months older than Corbin. We get together almost every weekend and the kids are kinda like cousins. We also share babysitters and put the kids down at one house so we can get some adult time! Alex and Emma's Mommy is one of my best friends who also stays home with the kiddos! She is such a great friend who keeps me sane!

Cousin fun in Feb

I am trying to get a few months back so this blog is from February when Mia came for a visit. It was a random day that was beautiful...so we wanted to get the kids outside. All the parks were so crowded b/c of the pretty day. The kids had a blast. I would have to say the favorite thing the cousin like to do is run, run, and run! Chloe and Mia love to chase Corbin! They were tired after this park day!

Mia loves "baby Chloe" and always wants to give her a hug. Chloe just started saying something not sure exactly put it sounds like..."Ma" for Mia when she sees her picture. Mia calls Corbin "GuGU" which means big brother in Chinese. (we think) Chloe calls her Corbin "Bubba" and she calls Chad(Bones) "Bo." We love crazy names in this family. Mia calls me "Key" and David "Dewey"...it is cute.

That reminds of a cute story. Chloe and I were watching Corbin do his sports class at Little Gym and Chloe started coughing. A lady next to us said, "Well sweetie, are you chocking on BONES?" Chloe then jumps up and starts shouting "BO...BO...BO" and she is looking everywhere for BO! The Lady thought we were crazy! :)

David's Family

David's family came down the first week in January and we had a great time! Corbin loves to see his Cousin Kaili and Connor. He also LOVES to visit with his Grandpa and Grandma J! We went to the park, opened fabulous presents, we rocked out to kids Karaoke and played...played...played. Kaili and Corbin really play so well together. Every time we get together with Uncle Gary and Aunt Kristin we have a great time.....can't wait till next time!
