7th Annual Sugarbush Block Party

So we don't mind to say....we think we live on a pretty Amazing street. Now it is not Sesame Street but you can come and play on Sugarbush Trail and always have a good time! Allen has a firework show the weekend before the 4th and you can see them at the end of our cul-de-sac, so it is a perfect time to block off the street and have a party!

It started out as a really hot day and right as we were about to eat it started to rain. So we all ran into different houses to eat. If you were at my house you were well protected by super heroes. :)

Power Ranger: Alex Red Spider Man: Ryan Black Spider Man: Corbin Bat Girl: Kaili (she could hang with the boys!)

The rain didn't last long...we actually were pretty lucky...it was raining all around us. The weather turned very pleasant. The kids played in the street, rode bikes, silly spray string, stomp splash rocket, water guns, glow in the dark necklaces and saw great fireworks! The adults had fun, fellowship, adult beverages, basketball, washer game and were able to watch the joy on their kids faces.Silly string was fun! That stuff goes fast so watch out behind you! If you were looking for Emma, you knew right where to look. She loved that water table. As you can see...Avery loved it too! :)
Sweet friends....Jenny and Courtney! Their little girl Avery loved Kaili and followed her around. You can see those dark clouds in the background. David even finished cooking our burgers in the rain. What a guy! My sweet friend Christen who takes care of my kids like her own. Chloe is chowing down on Christen's homemade chocolate ice cream that Miss Kathy made!

Newest Sugarbush Crew Member....Danny and Heather's little girl Ashtyn! Then below Chloe saying CHEESE with some leftover chocolate ice cream on her chin.

This happens almost every time we take a picture together. The 3 Mommies are first and then you will see the 3 baby girls. We are in the same order....CRAZY....but it happens all the time! Jenny, Carrie and Christen.....................Avery, Chloe and Emma

Corbin couldn't find his shoes when it was time to head down to the end of the street for fireworks...no worries...Ben was there to save the day! Look at Corbin's face...he just saw the first firework of the night.

Courtney (a Texas Tech guy) can't believe he is sitting in an OU chair! (hence the guns) But when you are near David that is about all you get...OU chairs...OU hats...OU shirt...OU coozies. Corbin and Mama watching fireworks....my baby boy who is 5!!!!!!!! All the kids crashed after this...Corbin said, "Mama, I want to go STRAIGHT to bed!" What a fun night as usual. Happy 4th of July!

The Crawford's

Kaili and Corbin loved making silly faces at the camera. After they made the faces they would say together, "Let me see!! Let me see!!" and then they would crack up!

So David's sister (Kristin) and family came for a visit. We always have such a great time when they come. Corbin and Kaili play so great together. Kaili is 4 1/2 so it is perfect! First thing Saturday morning we went swimming at the pool in our neighborhood. The kids had a great time~

Below is Connor jumping to Gary. Connor just turned 2...he is such a sweet kid. Connor and Chloe are close in age too, so it makes it fun for all! :)

We celebrated Corbin and Connor's birthday...both June Boys! Yes...Yes...Yes..all our kids start with the hard C sound! W were so glad they came and are so blessed to have family like the Crawford's! We (the adults) have so much fun together and it is great to have kids around the same age. It makes for a fun, fast and fabulous weekend. We were excited they came this weekend, because they were able to stay for the Annual Sugarbush Block Party! (see next blog post)

This is Kristin and I kicking off the Sugarbush Block Party! Can't wait till you guys come again.

A New Super Hero!

So Corbin comes out of his room with the below outfit on!!! Yes...lovely isn't it. He made up a new super hero...."Underwear Man!"

And then he said, "And don't forget my sidekick!" Then Chloe comes running out of his room wearing this hat! It was too cute..she just followed Corbin around...she didn't know what she was doing...but it was tons of fun! :)

Corbin's Day!!

My baby boy will be 5 years old on Sunday! So today was Corbin's special day for his birthday week. Mummy kept baby girl so Corbin could have his Mama and Dada all to himself. We went to the water park, Hawaiian Falls, and we had a BLAST! We played hard for 4 1/2 hours. Corbin kept saying that when we left...he said, "I have never been swimming for 4 1/2 hours before." I asked him what his favorite thing was and he said, "Everything...it was AWESOME!"

This was in the wave pool! Corbin LOVED the wave pool. He would jump into the waves or have the wave carry him all the way to the end of the pool. He would pretend to karate chop the wave and then have it knock him over. So much fun. I have to say the wave pool was fun for one and all...even 32 and 34 year olds! :)

This is Corbin going down one of the slides in the kids playground area! And the picture below is what he did when he got off the slide. Just picture him saying, "Oh Yeah...Oh Yeah...totally awesome...woo hoo...woo hoo!!"

Daddy and Corbin getting dumped on by a big bucket of water that dumped out every 5 minutes.

Having a break with Mama! Giving Mama some love. He is winking at me, but had to pull the goggles up so I could see! I was trying to get a picture of Daddy underwater, but SOMEONE was being an underwater camera hog!

You had to be 42 inches to go down this slide and Corbin is EXACTLY 42 inches. He is the top little speck on the slide. He loved this one...he raced his Dad several times. One time Mama went.....yes ONLY ONE TIME! :) It was fast....I couldn't believe he loved it so much.....my boy is definitely getting older....he is so brave!

More swimming and more fighting the waves in the wave pool. What a great time we had and we cannot wait to go back!

I am so blessed to have this 5 year old in my life...he brings David and I such joy. He makes us laugh everyday and we are so proud of the little man he is becoming before our eyes. David and I learn so much from Corbin and we are so thrilled to watch him grow 5 more years and 5 more years and 5 more years.......

LOVE YOU BUBBA!!!

PRO PICS

Here is my Little Princess...who kept saying "NO, NO, NO" to the picture guy. (who I love and have used several times) The only way he could get her to smile was when she would hit a stuffed kitty and "picture guy" would make the kitty fly! She thought that was too funny.
"Picture Guy" did great...Chloe is a tough gal to get a smile from! :)

My BIG BOY who will be 5 years old in 11 days! Don't tell...it is our secret...but Corbin says, "I will always be your little boy, Mama!"

Here are the two kiddos together! Corbin 5 years and Chloe 18 months. Chloe loved having Corbin by her for pictures. "Picture Guy" was throwing a ball to Chloe to get her to smile and finally Chloe pointed and said, "Bubba too"! She wanted Corbin to have a turn with the ball. It was sweet.
"Picture Guy" was able to get Corbin to smile by saying, "Is your Daddy wearing pink underwear?" Corbin thought that was too funny!

Considering we didn't get 1 year old professional pictures.....Mama is VERY happy with the 18 month old pictures. (Is there even a thing called "The 18 Month Old Pictures?"....Well, there is now!) We had a great day...even though picture day is exhausting....I love that I will always be able to remember my babies at these special ages!
